In my opinion, this should have been in news, but instead it was placed in lj_biz. My gut feeling, based on not much besides an instinct for CYA-flavored sneakiness in beauracracies, is that the purpose of that placement was to hide the information from many people, particularly those in the Harry Potter fandom who are not around the 'net this weekend as they attempt to avoid spoilers for the final novel.

Do your fan fic writer friends a favor: pass it on. And suggest that they read the linked post as well.
