Your time like is a big hard to follow, but this scene fit cannon very well. Angel was a bit insane at this point and the news of Buffy being dead . . . was just right. It wasn't like Xander had a lot to do during this time in cannon. Held in LA by Angel works.

There's nothing like a little non-con vamp action in the morning ;-)
