Dawson's edit redux...now with more Kane

So when I posted Jensen's part on Dawson's Creek yesterday, I convinced myself not to rewatch and double-check for the 4,051 time. Self, I said, quit being OCD. You've combed over this thing so many times, there's no way shit got fucked up from the last time you watched it, and let's face it, if you go over that footage one more time, you might have to seek and destroy James Van Der Beek.

But the OCD is strong with this one, so *after* I posted, I rewatched it and promptly banged my head against my metaphorical desk. because apparently, since the last time I watched it? Shit got fucked up. A few clips ran too long, there were sound glitches, and one got replaced with something else entirely. And see, now the Virgo in me is never gonna shut up about quadruple-checking before I post.

Apologies to anyone who dl yesterday, I have an improved version if you want it.

Two years before Jensen played the Dysfunctional but Too Good To Be True Boy, Chris came on the show and played a total douche. No, seriously. He's so full of shit, and kinda (extremely) smarmy. Plus his hair is attacking his face.

Despite all obstacles, he still manages to be rather charming, and tasty to boot. because Chris is a magical creature—like a unicorn, only more rideable.

Note: I’m not thrilled about the quality of the source files…they were only 100kbps, so I wouldn’t call them DVD-rip quality, but it’s enjoyable enough.

Thanks for this! Have downloaded and enjoyed the Jensen edit. I had seen pieces of it before but not the whole thing so it was great to have them all together (and with commentary!)

I noticed your poll was about DA. Have you done one on Jensen's Smallville arc that I missed? Because I never saw any of that and would really welcome one.

so, I'm thinking about doing one for Smallville but the truth is I *despise* that show and I'm reluctant to spend that much time staring at it, haha. these actually take a fairly large amount of manhours to put together because I'm a perfectionist.

so if I do it, it'll be a long ways off. this one--covering 13 episodes & 90 minutes--took me...I dunno, 4 months I'd guess? because I'll get sick of it and leave it be for a few weeks. and his appearance on Dawson's was short compared to that on DA or SV.

so, the answer is yes, but don't hold your breath, hahaha

Yeah, I don't blame you. I watched Smallville that one season for JM's bits (and I was also recording them for someone) and found it tiresome to sit through. I can well imagine how many hours of your time it takes.

I didn't realize he had such an extensive role in Smallville though, which is -- a plus? I remember that for the number of episodes JM appeared in, his screen time didn't amount to that much in all but 2 or 3 episodes.

One thing I really wish would turn up online are the unaired episodes of Still Life. Maybe now that there are so many outlets for short run shows online, networks and production companies will try to recoup that expense.
