Spike is - somewhere haha, yes. he comes back into the picture regularly in the next chapter. I think he actually ends up playing the key role in making this threesome work, but he gets a little less screen-time for a while...the predominant reason being that it's easy, in my mind, for soulless chipless Spike to love Dawn and vice-versa. Angelus is a different story altogether. :)
