She began to repeatedly, insistently mouth at his bottom lip. He exhaled air he didn’t know he’d been holding and kissed back, and she whimpered like a puppy. Spike closed his eyes then, not thinking as he slid his hand to cradle the base of her skull, the other petting her silky soft hair and coming to rest in the small of her back.
