In my mind Illyria's powers reactivated when she was in danger of dying, so she went back in time and brought Spike and Angel back together, because that's the only way to get Angel enough out of his grumpiness, so he wouldn't lead the gang to a group-suicide...
They save Fred and Fred, Wes and Gunn get together in a threesome.Cordelia stays around, watching over them with Doyle at her side.
And then Buffy meets the boys again at Willow's funeral and Buffy, Angel and Spike get together in a threesome that almost scares Spike to dust. but the little bugger really loves it too
And oh yes, Dawn went to Stanford, met Connor and the two of them are together now as well.
