tornado safety...a question
Jun. 30th, 2008 04:15 amok, geez, I feel silly but I literally lose sleep over this when it gets all stormy, especially like tonight when Irving is all restless and running around the bedroom jumping up and down on my head, haha. spazz. anyway, it's been a few years since I've lived in tornado country and this is marginally more likely to get them than Houston, making this the officially tornadoey-iest place I've ever lived. and every time it looks conducive out, I wonder about this.
I have two windowless rooms in my apartment, but neither of them are really *ideal*. I've always had a completely interior closet/bathroom before. anyway, there's the closet on the second floor, which contains the water heater (plus or minus? I dunno) and miscellaneous household junk. One wall is the side of the house. my bathroom upstairs is completely exterior wall-wise, but it's on the top floor.
so um. you know. which one is least likely to get me whisked off to the Wizard of Oz?
