...things that I forgot to tell you.

so, obviously I haven't been too present in livejournal lately, and I guess it's because I haven't had a whole lot to say. plenty of fannish enthusiasm, though, so I've decided that multimedia microblogging is where I want to be.
so you can find me at mel the magpie on tumblr, if you wish - given that it's a collection of shiny objects and less pervy than just plain fannish, I figured it fit. though I was kind of surprised it wasn't already taken.
it's pretty evenly split between my inner geek (all flavors of biology, with other disciplines making guest appearances) and my inner fangirl (mostly focused on Suits and RDJ these days, but CW et al is also represented), with a smattering of Useless Things I Find Amusing.
also, I realized I never posted an announcement of my latest fic here. still a wip, but I'm an average of 4 completed chapters ahead of anything I post, and it's growing to be a monster.

Summary: Whenever Mike's needed a lot of money fast, he's picked it up through one-off jobs as a paid submissive. So when Grammy needs an upgrade in care, he calls his agent and takes a job he's been refusing for a while - a long-term, full-time contract. He expects it to be like every other job, where the submission comes easy, but he doesn't get off on it. He expects his client to be a sadistic asshole. He's wrong on both counts. (you know, I should probably post this summary on AO3. heh. the summary there right now is probably pretty useless)
Warnings: prostitution, of a sort. D/s, mostly very light, relatively speaking. and way more romantic/schmoopy than hookerfic probably should be.

mskatej has been handling the beta and doing an AMAZING FREAKING JOB.

speaking of mskatej, she wrote this smoking hot Harvey/Rachel fic that I've already reread about 2 trillion times. she totally sold me on getting these two naked in the same room together, and as a bonus, they're both thinking about Mike while they fuck *flail* but not in an angsty way, because they're totally into one another. gah. just. read.
