I like seeing Xander confront Spike, and still be able to blush. He's very much betwixt and between, being savvy enough to challenge Spike, conscious enough to know when Spike is playing cold and then turning charming as a tactical thing beyond just the regular reactions Spike must be having, and yet he's goofy and kid-like enough to do a Snoopy dance for a Willow he only just met, and vulnerable enough that he's looking to get even group members who aren't friendly to like him.
I don't tend to go after Faith pairings in fic, but Angel/Faith, there's some real hotness there.
