I'm glad you like it, since I can say with certainty that it would not have gotten finished without your poking. this was a *painful* fic to birth, man. I like interesting as a descriptor for it, I really do.
I'm glad that it came through that Xander will heal eventually. Angel. Angel was lost, man. I hope Cordy and Wes and Gunn can kind of rebuild him but. man, if I feel sorry for anyone at the end it's him, because Xander's going to move on, but Angel. I'm not sure.
like I said, I'm going to clarify a bit the reasoning (or lack thereof) on his part there, but I think in a lot of ways, it will never be crystal clear why he did it, and that makes sense to me, actually. because Xander will never understand why he did it, I doubt *Angel* even fully gets it, and it feels like as long as the reader can project what he might have been thinking/feeling to drive him to that, it's good. does that make sense?
I think there would definitely be repercussions. and I think they would definitely avoid one another like the plague if at all possible for the rest of Xander's life.
