three times now, I've caught Jon or Stephen saying "an historic election."
it's funny cuz I had this vague recollection of learning that this was the grammatically correct article, but it's so rare we actually use that rule in the States that I had to look it up to be sure. I don't think I've heard it evoked since I was in sixth grade, seriously. first time I thought it was just Stephen being geeky-cheeky (like it? I just made that up. bwahaha) and then I realized it's totally deliberate.
which makes me wonder if they didn't have some geeky production meeting and an inter-office memo.
